3d animation as a sales and marketing tool



SALES AND MARKETING OF MACHINES, INSTRUMENTS, EQUIPMENTS, SERVICES
 
 Using 3d animation as a sales tool can create opportunities and efficiencies that until now were not visible.
We know that animations have being  a part of entertainment industry for a long time, but we fail to notice the reason animations are used, and if we try to see the core reason we come to one conlusion:
3d animations allow us to share our imagination. Imagination that words or pictures cannot describe.

Now going a step forward, why cannot we use the same reason in the business environment. All business are trying to sell their products using combination of traditional tools like images, technical drawings, movies etc..but each has a limitation. Using 3d animation adds that missing part making your presentations complete.

  1. The 2d drawings force the customer to think on complicated terms and use different views to visualize the product.
  2. At the same time, the customer also has to focus on the verbal information that is usally accompanied with this kind of presentation. This is very true for companies that are into customized products and services
  3. Assuming the product is ready, here the customer can show a video recording of the product, the problem here is the noise that is accompanies noise such as smoke, the light, background etc..these are things that cannot be avoided in a recorded video.
  4. Recorded videos cannot show things that are not accessible, such as some operation inside the machine that possibly may be a crucial distinguishing and important factor of your sales pitch
But not along with the above 2 methods if I add the following

  1. There is no need to visualize, the 3d model of the machine is ready and exactly as per specification
  2. We can even customize it to show an application that the customer want to see
  3. Its clean, the noise factor, sparks smoke generation is in our control
  4. We can even show things that would have normally being accessible
  5. The biggest advantage is its quick, a 1 min video makes clear what the machine is, its operation etc and there is no chance of viewers having different perception
  6. Multi-use: Use it in websites, online marketing, corporate digital brochures etc
As a good business with aim to providing excellent service, we will strongly advice against focussing too much on any one tool. Even using only 3d animation is not recommended. We strongly believe 3d animations compliments the traditional tools and useing them in combination will give tremendous cost and time savings and shortening the sales cycle duration to minimum.

The biggest reason companies donot opt for animation is
  1.  Their blind belief that they can perfectly communicate everything about their product, but the point we miss is, the moment we make someone visualize what we speak their is bound to be difference in perceptions
  2. The second reason is cost. I would like to mention that comparing animation cost of a entertainment film and cost for animating a product is like comparing apples and oranges. We need to remember that our main purpose is to make effective communication and be cost effective at the same time.
