Previous post we learnt of the two ways of uploading files to be rendered onto the server. As mentioned I would personally suggest the use of FTP servers like filezilla to upload my zipped project files as its convenient and I have found it to suit my liking. Please remember to upload the files in the input folder. See previous post for details
Once the project folder is uploaded, next is the part of extracting the project files. This is a straight forward process but nevertheless an important one.
UNZIP ON SERVER
1. Choose the package you want to unzip.
As log in, you can click "Unzip Online" on the left side menu as shown, then click "select" button.

2. Click the icon of folders, then enter into the directory which contains your packages. Take "Project001" as an example, click the icon of "project001" folder, then choose what you want to unzip, and click the "next". ( Note: The icon "[..]" means back to the parent directory ).
3. Wait for a few seconds, you'll see the log of unziping, if it is successful, it will show "Everything is OK" at the bottom
4.After unziping, you can submit your rendering tasks formally.
Next session we will get into the more details of the renderfarm. We will learn how to setup the rendering farm for 3dsmax projects.
If you have just started following the session please see previous entries to learn the other basics. Follow this blog to stay updated on the latest developments on the 3d design and development front.
